PRO WINDS SALES MANAGER
Full-time or Part-time
Job description
Marketing, promotion, and sales of wind musical instruments. Building and maintaining meaningful relationships by assisting customers in selecting and purchasing musical instruments.
Responsibilities
• All retail sales and rentals with specific emphasis on woodwind and brass instruments
• Create business by developing relationships music teachers, band and orchestra directors, etc.
• Develop customer relationships and provide compelling sales presentations
• Ability to work as a team in a sales presentation to overcome customers' objections and close additional sales
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service to each and every customer
• Promote customer loyalty
• Participate in all areas of store’s operation including merchandising, displays, and maintenance
Qualifications
The position requires the ability to play a wind instrument but the position is a sales position (not a musical performance position). General sales experience is very helpful but not required (training for the right candidate will be provided).
Other Qualifications:
•Must be proficient at playing a wind instrument (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, etc...)
•Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
•Must be friendly, outgoing, energetic and self-directed
•Capable of handling cash and complete sales transactions accurately
•Computer proficient with the ability to use a POS system (with training)
•Ability to work on most Saturdays.

BAND INSTRUMENT REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Bert Murdock Music is seeking a full time woodwind and brass technician. A family owned full line music store with a focus on school band and orchestra. We have been serving Utah since 1975.
The position entails servicing a large fleet of rental instruments as well as customer and school-owned instruments. Successful candidate must be self-motivation and have good communication skills. We offer a friendly work environment with a team that is passionate about providing outstanding customer service. Hourly wage, paid holiday. & vacation are included. Interview and bench test are required.
ORCHESTRA INSTRUMENT REPAIR/LUTHIER
Job description:
Applicant must have training in bowed string instrument repairs, bow rehairs, and experience using sharpening hand tools.
Duties include:
• Repairing and maintaining instruments and bows from our rental inventory
• Completing repair work for private customers and schools, including both student-level and professional quality instruments
• Providing accurate estimates for customer and school repairs and following up on estimate approvals
We are looking for a motivated technician with a positive attitude and excellent time-management skills. Ideal candidates will be motivated and self-starting, comfortable working with customers, and a good team player.
